Welcoming guests with procedures designed for safety – Updated 5/21/2021

We are eager to welcome our guests back to enjoy the long-lived tradition here of a fun and relaxing ranching getaway. In doing so, our top priority is the safety of our guests, staff, and our animals. Under the guidance of health organizations, our team has been hard at work to modify the guest experience and to put new health and safety procedures in place that adhere to social distancing guidelines. 

All staff are proactively educated regarding cleanliness, sanitation, and disinfecting protocols to ensure that your ranching experience is as safe as it is fun and relaxing. Below is a summary of some of the steps we are taking to keep our guests and staff healthy and safe.

Arrival Experience 

  • Upon arrival, all guests will have temperatures taken with non-invasive contactless thermometers
  • Streamlined check-in limits touch interaction with others, including payments, signatures, and other common tasks
  • Similar to health care facilities, all guests will be required to disclose if they have symptoms, been outside of the USA, or been in direct contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks.


  • We have been working closely with the Health Department to ensure we follow new sanitation and disinfection guidelines specific to each area of the hotel and grounds 
  • You’ll see staff in common areas constantly cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting with hospital-grade cleaning products approved for our use by the Department of Health
  • Everything from room key cards to sports equipment to luggage carts, all high touch surfaces have a procedure for disinfecting to safe levels for the next person 
  • Strict procedural guest room cleaning protocols are in place
  • To limit contact, housekeeping services and in-room amenities are available only upon request


  • If you want a mask-less experience, provide proof of your vaccination card at the health check to receive a special wristband for your stay, Otherwise, masks are required in public areas and wherever you might find yourself around staff and other guests whom you are not traveling with
  • Masks are available for sale in our gift store
  • We encourage you to enjoy the 150 acres of property to take in the fresh mountain air
  • Be sure to have your mask ready to put on while participating in the many activities or where need be

Physical Distancing

  • In accordance with New York State’s guidelines, our Ranch experience has been redesigned wherever relevant to allow our guests to maintain a social distance of 6-feet or more from anyone not traveling with your party 
  • Your help is appreciated in maintaining a safe and relaxing environment for all our guests


  • Seating in our dining room and bar areas have been arranged to adhere to social distancing
  • Whenever possible, all meals will be served outdoors
  • Dining seating times are provided upon check-in and are set to promote social distancing


  • The majority of our fun-filled daily activities are open with social distancing measures in place
  • Modified evening entertainment to encourage social distancing
  • The outdoor and indoor pools are open with additional cleaning protocols
  • Massage services and fitness center will remain closed until further guidance is received from New York State
